Smeeden Foreman have been working closely with Leeds University, developing a variety of different spaces within the campus. It was necessary to ensure that the design was suitable for the location, providing an attractive, safe place to pass and to relax. We provided durable but interesting and attractive planting, with a lush green theme. The aim of the scheme was to also improve the pedestrian link. We introduced ramps, relocated kerbs added benches along the wall providing sheltered seating. Pleached trees were used to create an avenue effect and provide enclosure.
