We have been involved in this site from the initial landform design for the reclamation of the colliery through to the completion of a mixed-use development that includes housing, recreation, retail, commercial and industrial uses.  

 

The scheme includes extensive areas of public open space for informal recreation, playing fields, playgrounds and a large-scale attenuating water body that includes wetland, meadow, native shrub and woodland planting, providing a newly created waterside setting for the residential area. The development also includes a new cycleway and pedestrian routes linking the development to the employment areas created elsewhere on the site.
